AIDS-unveilingSouth Bay Pride Art & Music Festival, in association with the AIDS Memorial Task Force, chaired by Kathryn Faulconer, first lady of San Diego, and Nichole Murray-Ramirez will be displaying the AIDS Memorial Quilt to raise awareness to the upcoming construction of the San Diego AIDS Memorial, as well as, the ongoing public health concern around HIV/AIDS. The public is encouraged to come to view the AIDS QUILT in a beautiful park setting on the bay while remembering those that we have lost due to this terrible pandemic.
The Very Reverend Penelope Bridges will give a blessing at the unveiling of the AIDS Quilt starting at 10 am.. Entry will be available only at the South Entrance of Bayside Park off of Sandpiper Way just west of the Chula Vista Marina. Refreshments will be available. South Bay Pride Art & Music Festival celebration begins at noon. Stay and enjoy the day, celebrating how far we have come and showing your support for how far we have to go!
